We're at the Vancouver Winter Games!
The Ontario Pavilion, showcasing the province's unique attributes from products, to technology, tourism to heritage, is also serving some of Ontario's finest foods including an array of duck menu items from King Cole Ducks Ltd., Ontario and Canada's largest duck producer.
Duck spring rolls, smoked duck charcuterie, miniature duck pot pies, and Asian style duck sliders are creative, portable foods that guests can enjoy for only $5 while visiting the pavilion during the 2010 Olympic Games.
"We are thrilled to be share the spotlight and menu board with a number of wonderful foods from Ontario fields and kitchens," said Patricia Thompson, Marketing Director. "King Cole duck products are served by chefs around the world and we are very excited that it will be enjoyed in our home pavilion by athletes, their families, dignitaries and visitors."
Chef Don Letendre of the award winning, Opus Hotel, Vancouver, B.C. developed the gourmet duck delicacies using King Cole's all natural, smoked duck breasts, char-grilled roasted half duck, Asian 8 spice marinated duck breasts and roasted salt and pepper half ducks.
King Cole Ducks Ltd. is a third generation farming operation located just north or Toronto in Ontario. The 60 year old company is a vertically integrated agri-business with its own hatchery, breeding, growing, processing facilities and recently added a development kitchen and cook plant to offer value added duck dishes to foodservice and retail customers. Operated by the founders' four granddaughters, the company has a commitment to farming naturally and producing products with clean labels.
