It's time to announce details for the 2013 Great Amazing Duck Race, proudly presented by King Cole Ducks Limited, Canda's leading producer of world-class duckling products.
DATE: Saturday, March 16, 2013
TIME: A Farmer's Day: Crack of Dawn to Dusk!
Start - King Cole Duck Farms, Newmarket, Ontario
Finish - Kitchen Labs, George Brown College, Toronto, Ontario
You and your teammate will start "The Great Amazing Duck Race" at the crack of dawn picking up duck eggs, making breakfast with your duck eggs, racing to the main farm for a CYOD (cut your own duck ) competition, running out the door with 'Duck in Pot', to race via subway to a secret location in downtown Toronto, before ending up in the culinary labs of George Brown for the final cook off.
DEADLINE: Midnight, February 6, 2013

- Duck recipe as per competition instructions
Open to 2nd year culinary students. Ten teams of two participants, one team per college will be selected. If space becomes available, a second team per college may be selected.
The Race will challenge you in the ultimate 'Farm-to-Fork' farming experience and recipe competition.
1st Prize: $1,000 per competitor
2nd Prize: $250 per competitor
3rd Prize: $100 per competitor
