In 2008, King Cole took a major step forward in its evolution by creating ThreeTen Development: the first (and only) cook plant and product innovation centre in Canada specializing in duck. Using proprietary "sous vide" cooking technology, grilling and a new smokehouse (2012), we produce unique fully cooked duck products for both Retail and the Foodservice and Hospitality industries.

Fully cooked Half Duck a l'Orange, Duck Spiedini, Pulled Duck Meat, Smoked Boneless Duck Breast and Peppercorn Smoked Boneless Duck Breast are just some of the culinary creations produced at ThreeTen and sold throughout North America to grocery chains, catering companies, restaurants, hotels and cruise lines.

Product innovation is truly one of the most exciting aspects of  the food industry and here, our diverse capabilities have enabled us to create other amazing and unique products: Turducken, Quail, Beef Short-Ribs, Turkey Breasts and a new Korean duck product launching in 2013. We have also developed sauces and soups for other food manufacturers so whether we are the primary or secondary producer, there's really nothing 'food' we can't achieve!

Today, food safety and the integrity of the food source are two of the most important considerations for consumers, chefs and establishment owners. King Cole was the first duck company in North America to invest in the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and achieve SQF Accreditation for food safety and quality. Our sous vide cooking method also provides that same degree of safety assurance along with the added benefit of product shelf-life of 30-days on average (refrigerated).

These same principles apply to ThreeTen as well where, as one example, the grilling we do with our products is "the real deal" for the ultimate in flavour and visual appeal.
